According to the provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Management Measures for New Resource Foods, seven items including DHA algae oil, Raffino-oligosaccharide, Plant sterol ester, Plant sterol, Arochidonic Acid Oil, Gynura divaricata(L.)DC, and Poppyseed oil are now approved as new resource foods. Rose rugosa cv. Plena and Mesona chinensis Benth. are allowed to be produced and operated as ordinary foods, while Prunella vulgaris L., Microcos paniculata L., and Plumeria rubra L. cv. Cutifolia are allowed to be used as raw materials for herbal tea beverages. The production and operation of the above-mentioned food shall comply with the provsisions of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
